In the twenties and thirties of the 20th century, when some architects were disposed systematically to configure modern world, they did it stimulated for a cultural pressure, for a correct adaptation to new times, and fighting for minimum conditions of human existence. On the other hand, today the urgency is bigger. It is about the entire planetary subsistence. The question is not any more a simple caprice, neither an intellectual necessity, neither sensibility for losing less favoured people. Now, the necessity is global, without reservations of classes, races or religions. The whole planet is in front of danger of no-sustainability for all mankind.

Taking profit of the holidays, all the PCs in our digital laboratory will update their Rhino versions to 5.0 (currently in WIP). Between many other features, Rhino5.0 allows to display and edit huge 3D models which will allow us to design even more complex projects.
Aprovechando las vacaciones, todos los PCs de nuestro laboratorio digital actualizarán su versión de Rhinoceros a v5.0 (actualmente en WIP). Entre muchas otras funciones, Rhino5.0 permite trabajar con modelos 3D mucho mayores, permitiéndonos así desarrollar proyectos aun más complejos.
The master starts on Friday, 7th January 2011, 12.00 pm with a welcome session for onsite UIC enrolment.
A few days later, on Monday 10th, classes will begin with Alberto T. Estévez Studio.

Last weeks for inscriptions: You can check the definitively next 2010-2011 edition's schedule, with the different Studios and workshops, directed amongst others by Bernard Cache, Karl Chu, Matias Del Campo, Dennis Dollens, Alberto T. Estévez, Michael Hensel, Neil Leach, etc. Also a seminar about the sources of genetic architectures will be taught: Gaudí (with visits to his works), Dalí & surrealism, genetics, philosophy about the emergent character of life, geometry & complexity, etc.

The Biodigital Architecture Master got inaugurate in 2000-2001 with the first "design-production-manufacturing" digital architecture workshop in Spain. Since then, have been consolidating its position all over the world. This week our last acquisition have just arrived: a laser CO2 PC 10 80.
El curso 2000-2001 inauguramos este Máster con el primer taller de "diseño-producción-fabricación" de arquitectura digital de toda España. Desde entonces hemos ido consolidando posiciones. Esta semana nos acaba de llegar la última adquisición, una laser CO2 PC 10 80: citius, altius, fortius.
We are glad to introduce the master's web, along with this news-blog, and the twitter and facebook links that we'll post soon. We will be reporting all the work, news and events from the next Master Edition (2010-2011).
